The best coffee in town can be found right opposite the DESIGNSPOTTER headquarters in the Belgian Quarter of Cologne: At the Red Vic on Bruesseler Street.

We can’t even estimate how many gallons of coffee we’ve drank this year. With every other cup we had a thought though: In the days of global warming and climate change modern urbanites choose their bike as their preferred means of transportation. On their way to the office they like to grab a “coffee to go”.

Or more likely would LIKE to grab a coffee! How can you ride your bike and drink your coffee safely at the same time?

This is more than enough reason for us to initiate a competition together with the Red Vic. We are looking for the coolest and most relaxed solution on how to ride your bike and simultaneously drink a scrumptious coffee.

Searching for the perfect "DRINKandDRIVE coffee cup" – we are awaiting your ideas and solutions in the name of all cyclists in the world.

1. ABSTRACTS
DESIGNSPOTTER presents in cooperation with Red Vic the "Drink and Drive: coffee cup competition". Duration: November 14 - December 14.
We award the prize for the best "bike coffee cup".

2. APPLICATION
Please send us an email with your sketch, rendering, jpg, pdf and a short installation textfile to: competition@designspotter.com | subject: DRINKandDRIVE.

3. DEADLINE
Deadline for the competition is December 14, 12am / CET

4. AWARDS
First prize: 500 Euro (plus licences on product)
second prize: book, limeted edition (value: 100 Euro)
third prize: book (value: 50 Euro)

There are no defaults according to material, form and idea. Even absolutely free designs are possible. The winners will be informed before Christmas.

Personal information provided by the participants of this competition for the purpose of registration will not be sold, rented, distributed or passed on by any other means to third parties not involved in the competition. The participant hereby agrees with his or her details being stored for utilization purposes for this competition and its duration. These details will be stored for the duration of the competition only and not be used for any other purposes. The participants have a right to be informed about their stored details free of charge and if applicable to have these details amended, blocked or deleted.
