Forever and Ever picks up where Tattooed Portraits left off. Shawn Barber's second monograph on the subject of painting Impressionistic Portraits of well known artists expressing themselves in the skin and ink of tattoos is a journal of his 5 year concept exploration.
In this edition Shawn shows us the raw images of his subjects in photographs within the context of the tattoo culture as well as the resultant paintings. The many pages provide us with his body studies and The Shawn Barber Process of portraiture along with sketches in water color gouache on toned paper. This edition also includes commentary on the projects from various well know tattoo artists.
