Gegründet wurde die Band 1994 als Deep Blue Dream von Wayne Static und Ken Jay. 1995 benannten sie sich in Static um. 1997 änderten sie den Namen in Static-X. Nach dem zweiten Album Machine stiegen der Gitarrist und Programmierer Koichi Fukuda und der Schlagzeuger Ken Jay aus. Koichi Fukuda wurde durch Tripp Eisen ersetzt und das folgende Album Shadow Zone im Jahr 2003 mit dem Studio-Drummer Josh Freese aufgenommen. Es erreichte in den US-amerikanischen Charts Rang 20. Anschließend übernahm Nick Oshiro das Schlagzeug.
Tony ist zusammen mit Wayne das einzige Bandmitglied welches nicht durch jemand anderes ersetzt wurde. Er ist Bassist und Background-Sänger. Bekannt ist Tony wegen seiner tiefen, gröhlenden Stimme. Neben Static-X spielte er noch in Bands wie Asesino und Ministry.

A 1960's Sid Davis production showing young people how to safely skateboard. Produced for the Pro / Am Skateboard Ass. And featuring Santa Cruz borads we see some pretty tame tracks turned by guys with helmets, gloves and pads. This is contrasted with the dangers of skating without protection and in traffic. We headed out into the Austin streets with a caravan that included rockabilly guys, roller derby gals and at least one vintage hot rod with a four-foot shifter that was taller than the car’s windshield. Topped with a skull for a shift knob, it was straight from the wild hot rod art of Ed “Big Daddy” Roth.
