All around Austin, TX, you see stickers encouraging you to Keep Austin Weird. Driving through town with the gang from Austin Speed Shop you feel like you’re doing your part.
We headed out into the Austin streets with a caravan that included rockabilly guys, roller derby gals and at least one vintage hot rod with a four-foot shifter that was taller than the car’s windshield. Topped with a skull for a shift knob, it was straight from the wild hot rod art of Ed “Big Daddy” Roth.

Termin fuer BMX Masters 2010 steht!

Nach den Worlds ist vor den Masters! Nach diesem Motto werden bereits zum fünften Mal die BMX Masters und damit der weltweit größte BMX Freestyle Contest im Kölner Jugendpark ausgetragen. Vom 9. bis 11. Juli 2010 heißt es also wieder drei Tage lang nonstop BMX, Fun und Party deluxe!
Für alle BMX Fans und Anhänger actiongeladener Kurzweil gibt es heute schon mal ein vorzeitiges Weihnachtsgeschenk, denn der Termin für die BMX Masters 2010 steht jetzt schon fest: Vom 9. bis 11. Juli 2010 wird im Jugendpark zu Köln wieder mal um Ehre, Ruhm und ein fettes Preisgeld geshreddet.
Es werden also wieder rund 400 Fahrer aus aller Welt, darunter über 200 Pros im Jugendpark an den Start gehen und in den fünf Freestyle-Disziplinen: Dirt, Park, Miniramp, Vert und Flatland gegen einander antreten. Damit auch der Nachwuchs zum Zug kommt, ist der Contest in zwei Leistungsklassen unterteilt: Amateur und Pro. Und wie in den Jahren zuvor bekommen auch die BMX-Girls in den Disziplinen Park und Flatland die Möglichkeit ihre Skills zu zeigen.
Nachdem die Haro Freestyle Show bei den BMX Worlds in diesem Jahr zu einem der absoluten Highlights avancierte, ist als besonderes Zuckerl auch bei den BMX Masters 2010 wieder eine Oldschool-Show mit den 20-Zoll-Helden vergangener Tage geplant! Also lasst euch dieses Brett nicht entgehen und blockt den Termin am besten schon jetzt!
