ROW Racedays: So wars...

Gestern Morgen bin ich nach Rotenburg bei Bremen zu den Rotenburg Racedays gekachelt um hab die Sonne zu genießen ;) OK, eigentlich bin da hin um Gummi zu schnüffeln und Fotos zu schießen ;) Sechs Stunden war ich da, hab viele nette Leute wieder getroffen und neu getroffen - 7 Stunden hab ich auf der Autobahn für Hin- und Rückfahrt gebraucht, aber was solls. ;) Wäre ich nicht gefahren, hätt ich auf jeden was verpaßt. Hier gibts Fotos!

Wer immer schon mal einen Ritt auf einer Kanonenkugel miterleben wollte, kann dies nun tun ;) Gestern Abend hab ich die Videoclips fürs Web editiert, die das Filmteam vom Discovery Channel für die TV-Dokumentation "Big Big Bikes" von Ian King (Top Fuel Bike Pilot) gedreht hat.
Dafür wurden zwei Kameras am Bike und dem Helm befestigt, so dass man aus der Egoperspektive den Höllenritt erleben kann. In 6,5 Sekunden auf über 200 mph. Dann viel Spass ;) Download Videoclip (7 Minuten, 26 MB)

Die 80-jährige QBert Videogame Oma!

Two weeks ago in Weirs Beach, NH, USA, after four straight days of playing the Q*bert video game, Doris fell short of the 1.8 million points needed to break the world record, scoring only 931,900 points.
But, the eighty-year-old video gamer is going to try again, this time at the upcoming Classic Gaming Expo UK, scheduled for London, August 13, 2005. The CGEUK can be found on the internet at www.cgeuk.com
Background information on Doris from earlier news release:
She used to play poker and bridge with her 80-year-old girlfriends almost every night. Sometimes until four o’clock in the morning. And, her passion was shooting “craps” while on casino junkets.
That is, until Billy Mitchell delivered a Q*bert arcade video game to her house. Now, Doris Self, of Fort Lauderdale, eats, drinks and sleeps Q*Bert, the classic video game from the early 1980s, practicing day and night. And, if she breaks the Q*bert record, she’ll be history’s oldest video game world
champion.
“I was the Q*bert champion in 1984 with a score of 1,112,300 points,” remembers Doris. “At that time, I was the oldest video game champ in the world at 58 years old, a fact verified by Twin Galaxies’ scorekeeper Walter Day (www.twingalaxies.com). It’s still listed in Twin Galaxies’ Official Video Game & Pinball Book of World Records, the gaming industry’s official book of records.”
Though Doris’ score was bested in 1985, she still retained the status of “oldest” champion until 2003 when John Lawton, 72, of New Hampshire, captured the Depthcharge title.
“I was sad when I lost the title I had held for twenty years,” laments Doris. “Then I got a call from gaming legend Billy Mitchell, who offered to loan me a Q*bert machine to practice on and win back my title. Billy made me promise that I would give up poker and practice Q*bert everyday.”

King of Europe DVD Entwürfe

Ich sitze gerade an dem Entwurf für die Toyo Tires: King of Europe DVD, die im September erscheint. Schön ist, das ich eigene Fotos von mir (die ich Ende Juni in Belgien gemacht habe) verwenden soll. ;)
Die Veranstaltung wurde mit mehreren Kameras von einem professionellen Kamerateam aufgezeichnet und enthält 40 Minuten Drag Racing und 40 Minuten Drift Action.

King Racing Website launched...

Nach "einigen" Verzögerungen (das Design hatte ich bereits im Februar 2005 fertig) ist nun endlich die Website einer der schnellsten Motorräder auf diesem Planeten online...ladies & gentlemen: Here comes the King! ;)
Mit 1000 PS (ca. 25% mehr als ein Formel Eins Rennwagen) unterm Arsch und von 0 auf 100 in 0,7 Sekunden sind die Top Fuel Bikes fahrende Kanonenkugeln. ;) Ian King aus England ist der amtierende FIM/UEM Top Fuel Bike Champion...

Summer Battle & Mopar Special
