"Midnight alias John Patrick Jr. McDonald, der ehemalige Sänger von CRIMSON GLORY, verstarb am Mittwoch, dem 8. Juli an Leber- und Nierenversagen. Wie JON OLIVA'S PAIN-Gitarrist Matt LaPorte blabbermouth.net mitteilte, verbrachte Mc Donald seine letzten Stunden im Kreis von Familie und Freunden, darunter Mitglieder von CRIMSON GLORY, SAVATAGE und JON OLIVA'S PAIN.
Midnight sang auf den ersten drei CRIMSON GLORY-Alben, bevor er für zehn Jahre von der Bildfläche verschwand. Er trat ab 2005 wieder mit seiner alten Band auf, wurde jedoch im Januar 2007 endgültig aus der Band entlassen, nachdem er wegen Trunkenheit am Steuer angehalten worden war. Im Herbst letzten Jahres kündigte Midnight eine Solo-CD an, die auch eine "Acoustic Crimson"-EP enthalten sollte." via Rock Hard
